I-405 will have overnight lane closures from Sept. 3-4 on southbound lanes and Aug. 28-31 on northbound lanes for construction work. I-5 will have nightly lane reductions near Alger/Lake Samish Road (exit 240) from Aug. 31-Sept. 4 and north of North Lake Samish (exit 246) from Aug. 30-Sept. 4 for fish passage construction. State Route 20 will have alternating traffic with flaggers from Swin Slough Bridge to Laconner Whitney Road/Bay View Road starting Aug. 21.
WSDOT states the I-5 fish passage construction project will continue until Sept. 10, while SR 4 will have single-lane closures weekdays from Aug. 17-Sept. 11 for gas main work. Drivers are advised to slow down and watch for flaggers in work zones.
The affected routes include major highways connecting Pullman to other communities and the I-5 corridor, which is a key transportation route for commuters and freight. WSDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time during the closures.
