Idaho, WSU football teams lose home games

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Idaho fell to No. 14 Lamar 23-17 at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome on Saturday, marking their third consecutive loss. The Vandals' offense struggled to score, managing only 17 points while the defense held Lamar to 159 passing yards. Idaho coach Thomas Ford Jr. said the team will focus on improving their start to games through practice adjustments.

Washington State suffered a 34-7 loss to Kansas State, their first 0-2 start since 2016. The Cougars' offense failed to score a single point, with first-year coach Kirby Moore stating, 'Everyone’s gotta take ownership on this,' starting with himself. WSU's defense bent but didn't break for three quarters in last week's Apple Cup loss but couldn't maintain that in the Kansas State game.
