Bryan Kohberger, convicted of murdering four University of Idaho students in 2022, is seeking to withdraw his guilty plea, according to a New York Times report. He claims the plea was based on 'false promises and blatant disinformation.'
Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador issued a statement expressing support for the victims' families and saying his office would ensure 'justice is fully carried out.' Kohberger, serving four life sentences, reportedly wants a new trial and a court-appointed lawyer.
The Latah County Prosecutor’s Office declined to comment on the case. Kohberger’s motion for post-conviction relief is pending.
