Missing Peck Man's Body Recovered

The body of Joseph Wren, a 31-year-old Peck man who went missing after reportedly drowning in the Clearwater River on Aug. 8, was recovered Wednesday. Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the discovery after a caller reported seeing something floating between mile markers 25 and 26 near Lenore and Cherrylane.

Family, friends, and volunteers searched for Wren for days and weeks following his disappearance. A funeral for Wren is scheduled for Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office expressed condolences to Wren’s family and friends in its news release.
