Pullman City Council approved a $500,000 budget allocation for the Riverside Park expansion project during Tuesday's meeting.
The project will extend the park along the Palouse River, adding 2. 5 acres of green space and new walking trails. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The council also approved a resolution supporting the park's designation as a community green space, with plans for additional amenities to be added in future phases.
