The victim advised they were not injured and were standing by for contact in the May Valley Alliance Church parking lot. Once troopers contacted, they observed the back window was shattered and the bullet fragment lodged in the headrest of the front passenger seat. A bullet casing was also found in the area where the shooting occurred. The victim stated he was traveling eastbound on SR 900 near Duvall Ave NE when a light-colored vehicle approached him from behind at a high rate where two lanes merged into one but was unable to pass. The vehicle followed at a very close distance and as it was turning onto 164th Ave SE the victim heard one shot and the back window shattered. The victim could not get a license plate or see the driver but described some details about the vehicle that would make it stand out. WSP detectives surveilled the area at the same time of day and were able to identify a potential suspect vehicle and where the driver worked. Through extensive investigation and the use of a search warrant for video footage they were able to establish probable cause to arrest the driver of the vehicle.
